2026 Summer Internships

The CGCS Summer Undergraduate Intern Programme pairs University of Toronto researchers in climate and environmental sciences with top undergraduate students interested in pursuing climate-change research.

The CGCS Internship will run from May 4th to August 21st, 2026 for 12-16 weeks. Interns will be paid a $617.76/week stipend, 2/3 of which is provided by CGCS, the remaining 1/3 is provided by the supervisor. All interns must attend the CGCS Research Day on Thursday August 20, 2026 in person to present their research.

The call for applications for the Summer 2026 programme can be found here: link to poster. To apply, students must be 2nd or 3rd yr undergraduate students, submit a *one-page* statement of interest identifying at least one potential supervisor and submit an unofficial transcript or academic history. Your statement of interest must have your name and university at the top left corner as in the example. Please be sure to review the calendar for this summer as well as the Frequently Asked Questions. Apply by Sunday February 22, 2026 by emailed to cgcs@utoronto.ca.
